Holiday Inn Houston Downtown, an IHG Hotel

The free shuttle to and from anywhere downtown was absolutely incredible. Excellent service. Breakfast was good. Could have more pastries. Room with two beds was spacious and bathroom was cleaned daily. Everything excellent. Dinorat took care of our room and it was pristine.

I used to avoid Holiday Inn because of a bad experience I had 15 years ago in Dubai. Since then, I never stayed at a Holiday Inn during my business trips. This time, I traveled to the USA for business and needed to stay in downtown Houston for my meetings. I couldn’t find any available hotels from Feb 9 to Feb 15, and the only option left was Holiday Inn. Honestly, I was not happy about it at first. But I’m really glad I gave it a chance—it completely changed my mind. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and it had everything I needed. The staff were welcoming, and what really impressed me was the duty manager. My flight was late at night, so I asked for a late checkout. The front desk said they could only extend it by 3 hours, while I needed 6 hours, so I had to book an extra night. When I checked out, the manager told me they would not charge me for the extra night because I’m a member and it was a gift. I really appreciate this great service and experience.

Satisfying and comfortable stay! This was probably the busiest Holiday Inn we have come across, but rightfully so. The location is great, only a few blocks from the theater district where we needed to go for an event. The employees were super helpful and kind. Shout-out to Dennys for keeping our room nice and clean when we checked in! The parking deck is a little cramped, but it was super convenient during our stay. Last note, the cookies at the front desk were delicious. Thank you!

The location is convenient for exploring Downtown Houston and the shuttle service made things even easier. Rooms were well-maintained and housekeeping did a great job. The staff were courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. Parking was the one thing that could use some improvement because of the signage in the garage is a bit confusing.

This location in downtown Houston, has always been a great place to stay, and now with the newly renovated rooms, bathrooms and corridors, has been an even greater reason, for us to keep coming back. Service goes above and beyond along with the good management and it’s turning out to be a very welcoming and warming stay. Really a must see for yourself experience.

Our experience was a mix of genuinely great staff service and frustrating operational hiccups. Upon arrival, we were faced with an IT mix-up where our online reservation had not been shared with the hotel. However, the front desk team were fantastic—they handled the issue professionally and resolved it quickly, preventing a stressful start to our trip. The room was comfortable and clean, but definitely felt dated. The major drawback was the distracting works/maintenance being conducted during the daytime. This noise was highly disruptive and prevented us from being able to relax and recharge after long days of sightseeing. Additionally, the TV worked intermittently, which was frustrating when trying to wind down in the evening. Commendations to the team for their customer service, but the management needs to address the maintenance noise and the reliability of in-room facilities.

I wanted to book a hotel that was close to House of Blues and this one was the less expensive one I could find. Registration was fast and easy. It's $25/night to park which is kinda expensive to me. The parking garage ramps are a nightmare. They are very steep and you have to put your room key in to open the gate, while on this incline. I know I heard the bottom of my car scrape the concrete several times. The elevator for guests was slow or didnt come at all, but the service elevator kept opening for us, which we had to use instead. Sorry for using it, but we had no choice. The rooms were very nice and clean. I like rooms that have private bathrooms. That's a bonus for me. Our room was on the 9th floor and had views of apartment buildings and could see the highway in the distance. The breakfast was ok. They had eggs, cereal, fruit, waffles, bagels, and different juices to choose from.

Older hotel clean paid parking 20 00 a day. Though I was getting 2 queens. 2 regular was about it Walking to the top parking lot is not suggested if you have breathing issues.
